l’Aquila: Meeting in the G8 plus G5 countries plus Egypt format, the Heads of State and Government have approved the global agenda: new rules for the economy and the finance market, a resumption of the granting of credit, getting the Doha talks back off the ground and a strong joint drive to help the poor countries.
In their agreed statement, the Leaders renew their pledge to work together to achieve a global recovery that will also be “green,” resting on sound, lasting foundations for “sustainable, balanced, inclusive” growth.
The need to embark on the Global Legal Standard road to a finance market with tougher rules and watchdog bodies is accompanied by the need to begin drawing up an “exit strategy” out of the extraordinary measures adopted to counter the crisis
